Finally empowered after 6yrs of tailoring without sewing machine

I have been pursuing my tailoring career for over 6yrs with no sewing machine, which was really frustrating because I was paying to hire a sewing machine to work with.

In January 2019 I was praying for and was in desperate need of my own sewing machine to have a stable sewing business and also be more productive.

Fortunately for me, BCROF was unveiling the foundation in February 2019 with a sewing competition to empower upcoming tailors, like me, to be established fashion business.

I jumped at the opportunity hoping to win an Emel Industrial Sewing Machine ( the grand price for winner). BCROF also made available the fabric for the competition which was a boost for me in making the winning dress for the competition.

It was a wonderful experience for me, a dream come through, an answered prayer. My career picked up rapidly after winning the sewing machine. The competition also exposed me to meeting other people in the fashion field – and now my confidence as a tailor has grown so much as a result of the exposure I got.
